Blending hyperrealism with geometric abstraction, and combining traditional European fine art techniques with a surrealist setting, Marina Bogacheff creates works that move beyond mere visual representation.
Through oil painting and installation, the artist investigates what remains of human identity when the structures that once shaped it begin to collapse. Amid the profound upheavals of our time, what responses are still possible? Acceptance, refusal, adaptation, resistance—or another way forward? How do we preserve our sense of self when the world to which we once belonged begins to unravel?..
Marina Bogacheff’s affinity for analytical research in painting is rooted in a strong quantitative background, with three university degrees earned across three different countries (including a Master’s in Applied Economics from the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland). The artisted had pursued a career in the scientific and financial sectors before onbtaining, in 2025, the Master of Fine Arts (DNSEP) at ISBA, Besançon, France.
In 2024, Marina Bogacheff presented their first solo exhibition at the Maison du Prince in Sochaux, France. Since then, their work has been exhibited at the Museum of Art and Science in Milan and featured in numerous juried group exhibitions, including Les Estivales de Sceaux (the Grand Paris contemporary art festival), ArtyShow Switzerland, and major art salons in France, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. They are the recipient of several awards, including the Paul Paté Prize.
